UPDATE: Two Sought in Laramie County Mail Thefts Identified
UPDATE:
Thanks to the public's help, two women wanted in connection with a recent rash of mail thefts in Laramie County have been identified.
Laramie County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hollingshead says the two, whose names have not yet been released, used a credit card that was stolen out of a mailbox on Kansas Street to make a purchase at the Loaf 'N Jug at 1922 E. Lincolnway.
"These are just two (suspects)," said Hollingshead. "We're believing that it's a group of people that have been hitting these mailboxes around the county."
"(Another suspect) is incarcerated down in Grand Junction, Colorado on unrelated drug charges," Hollingshead added. "We got a search warrant for her residence yesterday (Monday) and found items that tied her back to the mail thefts."
Hollingshead says the three women have yet to be formally charged.
The Sheriff's Office has been working on the case for the past several months in cooperation with the United States Postal Service.
