Juveniles Arrested Following Cheyenne Stolen Car Chase

The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff's Office, and Cheyenne Police Department joined forces on July 13 to apprehend a pair of juveniles driving a stolen car in the Cheyenne area.

That's according to a post on the Laramie County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Incident Starts With Attempted Stop By The Wyoming Highway Patrol

According to the post, the incident started around 11:20 a.m on Monday. when the Wyoming Highway Patrol tried to stop a stolen black Jeep Wrangler in the  4000 block of I-80 Service Road. According to the Patrol, the car had been reported stolen in Nebraska.

The car refused to stop and took off westbound on I-80. The Wrangler turned off at the Campstool exit, eventually trying to jump the tracks north of Sierra Trading Post. That effort failed, and the car crashed.

The post says the juveniles then ran away on foot, eventually entering a home in the 4900 block of Atlantic. Sheriff's deputies deployed a drone while the Cheyenne Police Department brought in a k-9 to track down the pair.

The post goes on to say No law enforcement vehicles were damaged, and no personnel sustained injuries during the incident. We commend the professionalism and coordination displayed by all agencies, which underscores the importance of teamwork in safeguarding our community.
