Elusive Wanted Cheyenne Sex Offender Finally Arrested
A Cheyenne sex offender is facing a felony charge after reportedly failing to comply with a local registration requirement.
According to a booking sheet, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office's Sex Offender Registration Office on Feb. 8 notified a deputy that 40-year-old Marcus Paul Delgado, a registered sex offender out of Laramie County, had failed to check in in January as required.
The deputy attempted to contact Delgado many times at his and his girlfriend's residences but was unsuccessful.
The Arrest
Delgado was finally arrested in the Laramie County area on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and the following morning booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender.
He's scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.
According to the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry, Delgado was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor on Jan. 22, 2019.
UPDATE:
Delgado was scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., but as of 4:30 p.m., he had yet to be formally charged.
