Cheyenne Police Department Welcomes New Officer
The Cheyenne Police Department welcomed a new officer to its ranks Monday.
Brady Pierson was sworn in during a ceremony at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center.
According to a department Facebook post, Pierson -- an Army veteran originally from Peoria, Illinois -- recently relocated to Cheyenne from upstate New York where he was stationed at Fort Drum.
“I wanted to become a police officer to continue my service post military,” said Pierson.
“My favorite thing about Cheyenne is the people that live here and the close-knit community," he added.
Pierson is the seventh officer to be sworn in this year. He will now attend the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in Douglas.
