Colorado Man Arrested After Driving On Cheyenne Golf Course
A 48-year-old Colorado man is facing a long list of charges after driving his truck on a local golf course and then leading police on a low-speed chase.
Cheyenne Police Spokeswoman Alex Farkas says the incident started around 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, when police got a call about a truck driving on the golf course at the Cheyenne Country Club at 800 Stinner Road.

When police got there, the suspect vehicle, a blue GMC Sierra, drove through a fence and left the golf course. The driver, later identified as Gust Martinez of Lakewood, Colorado, refused to stop for police and continued driving south on Randall Avenue.

Martinez finally stopped the truck at the intersection of West 25th Street and Pioneer Avenue. But even after that, Martinez tried to resist arrest, fighting with police.
After he was arrested, police searched the truck and found a rifle with a modified stock. Martinez is a convcited felon and is not legally allowed to have a firearm.
Farkas says Martinez was arrested on the following charges:
