Southeast Wyoming Expecting Summer Temperatures To Start Spring
The calendar may say March 20 is officially the start of spring, but the southeast Wyoming forecast is downright summer-like.
Cheyenne could hit the low 80s Friday and possibly mid 80s by Saturday, a week after plunging to single digit lows. Laramie should hit the mid-70s on Friday, and may approach 80 degrees on Saturday.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service
The next few days will feel more like the summer solstice than the spring equinox. Temperatures 25 to 35 degrees above average are expected Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with the warmth peaking on Saturday. High temperatures are forecast to break daily record highs each of the next 3 days. March monthly record highs are also likely to be broken at all locations. A few spots may even see temperatures within a few degrees of *April* monthly records! The warmth combined with the dry and breezy conditions will continue dangerous fire weather conditions through Saturday night. Don't be the spark and avoid any outdoor burning!

The bad news? The fire danger remains critically high:
