The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says southeast Wyoming is now under a flood watch until midnight on Thursday.

The agency posted the following on its website:

A Flood Watch for localized thunderstorm rainfall remains in effect until midnight Thursday night. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will have the potential to produce isolated torrential rainfall with a risk for flash flooding. Not everyone will see rain today.

- Expect partly sunny skies Thursday with isolated morning showers and highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will kick up again this afternoon and evening. Not everyone will see rainfall today, but most areas have a 50 to 70% chance for rainfall of any amount. Localized torrential rainfall and gusty winds will be possible with today's storms.
