UPDATE: 4-Year-Old Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle in Cheyenne
A four-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a vehicle at a Cheyenne intersection Tuesday evening.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says the boy and his mother -- who have yet to be identified -- were struck at the intersection of E. Lincolnway and Converse Avenue around 5:45 p.m.
Malatesta didn't know the woman's condition, but says she's still in the hospital.
Police plan to release more details in the morning.

Two people have been taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of E. Lincolnway and Converse Avenue.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says the accident occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. this (Tuesday) evening.
Malatesta couldn't release the status of the two hit, but said the accident was "very serious."
Accident reconstruction specialists are trying to piece together what happened and, as of 6:30 p.m., the intersection remained closed.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the dispatch center at (307) 637-6525.
