Police say witnesses on the scene told them the suspect, Cody M. Jones, whose vehicle was found at 1316 E. 18th St., was seen fleeing the scene and hiding in the bushes around the corner.

Police located Jones lying in the bushes and he was handcuffed and taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for a warrant granted blood draw and medical clearance for the jail.

On Tuesday, Jones was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, no proof of insurance, and felony destruction of property.

He's currently out of jail on a $2,000 cash bond and is scheduled to be back in Laramie County Circuit Court on Sept. 13 for a preliminary hearing.
