SE Wyoming Could See 60 MPH Winds, Large Hail, Tornadoes
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has updated it's Saturday weather forecast for southeast Wyoming.
The agency posted the following on it's website at 2:10 p.m.:
Scattered severe thunderstorms are likely Saturday afternoon and to continue through part of the night. There may be multiple rounds of thunderstorms, however the main concern is from activity starting about noon through sunset. Very large hail and severe wind gusts are the primary hazard anticipated with early thunderstorms. Towards sunset and into the evening the tornado threat increases, particularly for the southern Nebraska Panhandle area as available low level shear and moisture increases. Speaking of moisture with precipitable water values in excess of an inch storms may be efficient rain makers and that does introduce a risk of flash flooding in the Nebraska Panhandle.
