Heavy Rainfall Possible In SE Wyoming, Laramie County Facing Floodwatch

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says southeast Wyoming residents can expect moderate to heavy rain today.

A Flood Watch has been posted for Laramie County, starting at 3 p.m.:

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of panhandle Nebraska, including the following
  areas, Banner County, Box Butte County, Cheyenne County, Kimball
  County, Morrill County and Scotts Bluff County and southeast
  Wyoming, including the following areas, Central Laramie County,
  East Laramie County and South Laramie Range Foothills.

* WHEN...From this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Strong thunderstorms with heavy rainfall will be possible.
    Precipitation rates of 1 to 2 inches in an hour or less may
    occur locally in the strongest thunderstorms. Areas that
    received significant precipitation yesterday may also receive
    additional moderate to heavy precipitation today.
