Men Indicted for Cheyenne Pharmacy Robbery
Three Albuquerque, New Mexico men have been indicted by a grand jury in connection to a robbery that happened on Oct. 6 at the Medicap Pharmacy in Cheyenne.
Twenty-year-old Moses Dickens III, 26-year-old Christopher Dominguez and 28-year-old Antoine Mitchell are accused of carjacking a woman in Wheatland and driving that stolen car to Cheyenne where they entered Medicap, began shooting and attempted to rob the pharmacy. A pharmacist, who was hit in the leg, shot back at the men and they took off.
"They were arrested on Dec. 3 in Raton, New Mexico during a similar crime," said Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta.
"They were recently indicted in Wyoming by a federal grand jury on a variety of charges, including conspiracy to commit carjacking, carjacking, two counts of using a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, attempted robbery involving controlled substances for the portion of the Medicap robbery and two charges of using a firearm in the commission of a violent felony," he added.
Malatesta says federal warrants were issued yesterday (May 21) for the charges.
"Part of the reason it took so long for us to put this out is here was some forensics that had to be completed," said Malatesta. "I can't go into the details of what those forensics were, but from evidence collected at the scene we were able to tie the evidence to these suspects."
