The Laramie County Sheriff's Office has released the results of an investigation into voters who were flagged for possibly voting illegally in the 2024 primary or general election.

That's according to a post on the LCSO Facebook page.

According to the post, the investigation started in January after the Laramie County Clerk's Office reported concerns about several voters for either not being citizens or for illegally voting as convicted felons.

13 Voters Were Investigated For Voting As Non-Citizens

Thirteen voters were identified as possibly not being eligible to vote because of concerns about their status as American citizens.. Sheriff's Office detectives, working closely with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, were able to determine that all 13 had voted legally. Because they were cleared of voting illegally, no action was taken against them.

Another eleven people were flagged for possibly voting illegally because of being convicted felons. According the post, sheriff's detectives investigated each of these cases individually.

Eleven Voters Were Flagged For Possibly Illegally Voting  As Felons

Here are the results of those investigations:

Two individuals, both of Cheyenne, were charged with False Voting under W.S. § 22-26-106(a)(i).
- One entered a guilty plea and was fined $720; Charges against the other individual were dismissed.
• Nine individuals were found not to have violated Wyoming voting laws. Reasons for this included:
- Court records that were entered incorrectly into databases;
- Overturned convictions following an appeal;
- Completion of sentencing or probation not yet updated in the Department of Corrections systems;
- Multiple non-violent felony convictions stemming from a single incident or related events.
