Firefighters Battle Weekend Blaze At Cheyenne Compost Facility
Windmill Road in Cheyenne was closed for a time on Sunday as firefighters battled a blaze at the Cheyenne Compost facility.
No injures were reported from the fire.

That's according to a post on the Cheyenne Fire Rescue Facebook page.
Quick Action Kept The Fire From Spreading
The fire was reported shortly before noon, and firefighters were able to put the fire out before it could spread. The dry, windy conditions that were seen in the area over the weekend are conducive to fires, but the prompt reaction of firefighters kept the blaze from spiraling out of control.
Windy weather continues in the forecast for today [Monday, March 17] ahead of another round of cooler, wetter weather expected to arrive in southeast Wyoming tomorrow.
