
$50K Cash Bond Set for Cheyenne Woman Charged in Stabbing
A 24-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly stabbing a person in the stomach.
According to a booking sheet, police were called to Chantavia Renee Blanche's home in the 2700 block of Dey Avenue at 12:28 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 for an assault.

Verbal Altercation Leads to Stabbing
Police say the victim told them that after a verbal altercation with Blanche, it led to a physical altercation, resulting in Blanche stabbing them in the stomach.
Police say the victim had a wound consistent with being stabbed, and there was other physical evidence to suggest a physical altercation occurred involving a knife.
Police: No Evidence Suggesting Blanche Acted in Self-Defense
Police say there was no evidence to suggest Blanche's self-defense claim.
Blanche Arrested, Charged With Aggravated Assault
Blanche was arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - bodily injury with a deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Bond Set at $50K Cash
Blanche made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Jan. 22, during which her bond was set at $50,000 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30 at 2:30 p.m.
