Cheyenne Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault Arrested, Charged
A 39-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after being picked up on a warrant for aggravated assault.
According to a booking sheet, Shawn McGraw was taken into custody at 3:46 p.m. on June 25, 2024, after a detective with the Cheyenne Police Department conducting a warrant service pulled him over at Union Wireless at 300 E. 15th St.
The detective says McGraw had an active warrant out of Laramie County for aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee signed the warrant on June 18, 2024.
McGraw was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident and booked on his warrant.
Bond Set at $5K Cash or Surety for Cheyenne Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
He was seen in Circuit Court on June 26, 2024, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 3, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
