A 21-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly causing more than $1,000 in property damage.

According to a booking sheet, Jaya-Maleah Ojenae Brown was taken into custody on a warrant at 12:33 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 after police contacted her at The Home Depot at 1740 Fleischli Pkwy.

Police say Brown had a warrant out of Laramie County for felony property destruction, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on Sept. 9, 2024.

Brown was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center where she underwent the booking process without incident.

Brown Released on $1.5K Signature Bond

Brown was seen in Circuit Court on Thursday, Sept. 19, and given a $1,500 signature bond.

Brown is scheduled to return to Circuit Court for her preliminary hearing on Monday, Oct. 7 at 9:30 a.m.
