A 45-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after reportedly breaking into a car dealership.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to Tyrrell Chevrolet at 2142 W. Lincolnway at about 1:43 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 for a male seen on camera looking into vehicles with a flashlight.

A Large Cut in the Fence

Police say there was a red SUV parked on the north side of the fenced-in parking lot and a large cut in the fence next to it, and they found Demetrius Maynard Coletti inside a vehicle inside the fenced area.

Police say dispatch confirmed Coletti had an active warrant out of Laramie County for failure to pay $370 on original charges of breach of peace and property destruction, which was signed on May 7, 2024.

When officers searched Coletti, they reportedly found a small bag containing a white powdery substance which Coletti said was methamphetamine.
