
Cheyenne Man Arrested on 5 Warrants, Then Served With 2 More
A 37-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a slew of charges after being picked up on five warrants and then being served with two more.
According to a booking sheet, Kelly James Person was arrested near the 900 block of West College Drive at 5:29 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, on three Laramie County and two Colorado warrants as well as three misdemeanor charges, including possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine and interference with a peace officer - no injury.

5 Warrants
Two of the Laramie County warrants were for misdemeanor protection order violations and were signed by Circuit Court Judges Sean C. Chambers and Antoinette Williams on Feb. 11 and Feb. 18, respectively.
The third was for felony failure to appear and was signed by District Court Judge Robin S. Cooley on Feb. 20.

The Colorado warrants were for contempt of court - failure to comply and contempt of court - fraud, both felonies.
Person Arrested After Trying to Run
The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says Person tried to run from law enforcement, but he was located, arrested, and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident.
Felony Stalking
The following morning, Feb. 25, while being seen in Circuit Court on his misdemeanor warrants, Person was served with another warrant signed by Williams for felony stalking - protection order violation and misdemeanor property destruction.
His total bond was set at $9,500 cash -- $1,000 cash in each of his misdemeanor cases and $7,500 cash in his felony case -- and his arraignments and preliminary hearing were scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, at 2 p.m.
Bond Revocation
Then, on Wednesday, Feb. 26, while being seen in Circuit Court on the misdemeanor charges he was arrested on, Person was served with another warrant signed by Chambers for revocation of bond with the original charges being domestic battery, misdemeanor theft, and interference with an emergency call.
His total bond was set at $3,500 cash -- $2,500 cash in his drug possession case and $1,000 cash in his bond revocation case.
Person Being Held on $13K Bail
All five bonds are consecutive to one another, meaning Person will have to post $13,000 cash to get out of jail.
Person's next District Court hearing is scheduled for March 17.
