Cheyenne police spokeswoman Alex Farkas says the department is still working to identify a suspect in last month's shots fired incident on the city's east side.

The gunfire happened around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, near the 2500 block of East 12th Street, just northeast of the Norris Viaduct.

"A person was traveling through the area while firing multiple gunshots," said Farkas.

"One residence in the 2400 block of East 11th Street was struck by gunfire and casings were located within an alley in the 1000 block of Crook Avenue," she added.

Farkas says officers have contacted several people of interest, but an arrest has yet to be made in the case.

"We're still requesting surveillance video if community members have it," she said.
