Cheyenne police have upped their presence at Central High School due to a 2021 social media threat that's currently recirculating.

"The social media messaging has since resurfaced and is spreading to 'Central High Schools' across the nation," the post reads.

"While the threats do not target any Cheyenne area school and appear to be unsubstantiated, additional officers will be present at Central High School this week," the post goes on to read.

Police say if you see a threat on social media or someone makes a concerning statement to you, you should report it to your school resource officer or Safe2Tell Wyoming.
