Recent back-to-back homicides have many people asking, "What is going on in Cheyenne?"

But Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer David Inman says last week's double homicide-suicide at Romero Park and September's shooting in east Cheyenne which left two dead and two 14-year-old boys seriously injured were "two isolated incidents."

"If you look at the comments people are like, 'Oh my God, I'm moving out of here, this place has gone to hell,'" said Inman.  "We're trying to reassure people that we don't see this as a pattern."

Police say the two homicides are the only ones to have occurred in Cheyenne so far this year.  The capital city saw six homicides in 2015, two in 2016, three in 2017 and two last year.
