Cheyenne Man Accused of Robbing Man at Gunpoint

A wanted Cheyenne man who police arrested earlier this month is now facing another round of felony charges.

According to booking sheets, 43-year-old Michael Isreal Robin Sr. was arrested on June 14 on two warrants, one out of Laramie County for failure to appear with original charges of no proof of liability insurance, speed zone, and driver's license required; and the other out of Larimer County, Colorado for failure to appear with an original charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

While he was being booked in on the warrants, jail staff also reportedly found a felony amount of suspected fentanyl on Robin.

Robin was served with a warrant for felony possession of fentanyl the following day, June 15, and the charge was bound over to Laramie County District Court on June 23.

Meanwhile, police learned that Robin was a suspect in a June 1 robbery.

Police say video surveillance footage showed the victim hanging out with Keil Muir at the Outlaw Saloon, then getting into a Toyota RAV4 with Muir and Robin just prior to the incident.

The victim reportedly told police that he was held at gunpoint in the SUV and robbed of his wallet and other personal items.

Police say Muir was driving at the time and Robin was in the back seat, and Muir identified Robin as the suspect and corroborated the victim's statement of the incident.

Robin was arrested on June 22 and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, and habitual criminal.

His bond in the case was set at $100,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 3 at 9 a.m.
