Cheyenne Frontier Days ‘Relatively Quiet’ from Police Standpoint
Compared to past years, the 123rd Daddy of 'em All was pretty uneventful for police.
"Overall, it was a relatively quiet year in large-scale incidents," said Officer Kevin Malatesta.
Malatesta says Cheyenne Frontier Days paying for additional officers to be present at rodeos, night shows and throughout Frontier Park helped.
"It allowed us to have our regular-duty officers and detectives doing their regular jobs," he said. "We weren't understaffed as we usually are during Frontier Days."
"We also had a full staff up at the park and the various events such as parades and pancake breakfasts, so it really did work out well," he added.
