
Cheyenne Police Announce Arrests In Car Burglary Investigation
Cheyenne Police served five search warrants this morning [Aug. 25] and arrested four juveniles in connection with a series of car burglaries that have been reported this month.
That's according to a post on the Cheyenne Police Department Facebook page.
According to the post, items taken in the string of burglaries included firearms, electronics, and the vehicles themselves. Most of the items were taken from unlocked cars,
Surveillance, Planning Led To Search Warrants
CPD investigators followed up on leads in the case and identified several people believed to be involved in the crimes. Through surveillance and planning, police served five search warrants at once this morning in the case.
According to the post, "while the warrants were being served, four of the juvenile suspects were taken into custody. Because of the proximity to schools and the involved juveniles being school-aged, extra efforts were taken to serve these warrants while the students were not in school."
Police say the investigation of the burglaries is continuing.
