Eleven people are facing prostitution-related charges stemming from busts made in Cheyenne this week as part of a joint operation to target sex trafficking during Frontier Days.

"The task force’s main objective is to identify and recover victims of commercial sex trafficking," said Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta. "Additionally, the task force takes enforcement action against those associated with, or participating in commercial sex trafficking."

"With this goal in mind, the CPD is not releasing the information of the four people who were arrested for prostitution during the course of this investigation, but rather the people who were soliciting prostitution," Malatesta added.

The following people were arrested during the human trafficking taskforce:

  • Jonathan Peirce, 29, of Cheyenne - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Matthew Burgard, 30, of Cheyenne - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Jordan Garcia, 25, of Cheyenne - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Rocky Roberson, 28, of Cheyenne - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Christopher Davis, 34, of Cheyenne - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Brian Blumenshine, 34, of Grover, CO - Soliciting Prostitution
  • Bhupinder Bahia, 46, Turlock, CA - Soliciting Prostitution and Possession of Methamphetamine

Malatesta says the department will continue to conduct the stings throughout the year.
