Work on the last major Cheyenne street project for 2014, the Logan Avenue Project, is scheduled to shut down for the winter on Wednesday November 26.

City Engineer Rob Geringer says the first phase of the project between Nationway and just north of East 12th Street will be opened with travel in both directions restored. Logan Avenue will have temporary surfacing north of East 10th Street to north of East 12th Street to Nationway.

Geringer says all businesses in the area will have full access during the winter shutdown. Work on the project is slated to continue next spring.

The total cost of the Logan Avenue Reconstruction Project is $7.7 million, with funding coming from Fifth Penny Sale and Use Tax Revenues as well as from the Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities.
