Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says most street and roadwork in the city has halted for the winter season, with one exception.

The mayor says some work is still  wrapping up on the Logan Avenue Reconstruction Project, adding that should come to a halt by the end of November.

But he points out one of the other major reconstruction  project, the Snyder Avenue Project, is now completed, and he says work on street overlay projects on Yellowstone Road and Storey Boulevard have come to an end as have other similar projects throughout the city.

Kaysen says the kind of winter weather which is common this time of year in southeast Wyoming is hard on both equipment and workers, so most local projects have either been finished or halted at a logical stopping point until spring.
