A complete reconstruction of Logan Avenue from Nationway to Pershing Boulevard is among the many street projects scheduled for Cheyenne this year.

Assistant City Engineer Nathan Beauheim says the project will be completed in sections so that the entire road is not closed off at any time. The work will include installation of a new and larger storm sewer system, a new water main (in conjunction with the Board of Public Utilities), a new water transmission line, a replacement of the current curb and gutter system, as well as a new sanitary sewer system.

The traffic signals along that section of Logan will also be replaced. Officials hope to begin construction work on the project in June and finish sometime at the beginning of next year.

Other street projects on tap for the year include the continuing reconstruction of Snyder Avenue from 23rd Street to Pershing Avenue. The City is also planning on re-paving Storey Avenue from Yellowstone to Powderhouse Road.
