For a second consecutive day, fire managers are reporting no new growth on a wildfire that began Saturday in Sublette County.

The Tannerite Fire was listed at 1,340 acres in size and 35% contained as of Tuesday morning. All evacuations have been lifted, but Burnt Lake Road above the Boulder Lake Dam road and Timico Trailhead remain closed.

No injuries have been reported, according to Incident Commander Jon Ziegler.

"We had significant success yesterday, the fine fuels are burning out but many areas are still holding quite a bit of heat. Firefighters were able to work these areas and keep the fire from escaping control lines," Operations Section Chief Rob Steffens said.

Tuesday's plan called for crews to hold and secure containment lines. Firefighters will also mop up any areas of residual heat that may threaten to spot or spread beyond the established perimeter.

Helicopters are staged at the Pinedale AIrport and are available to assist with bucket drops or reconnaissance if needed.

"Sublette County Unified Fire, a primarily volunteer fire organization, was the first initial attack resource on scene and had been actively engaged in fighting this fire since day one," fire managers said in a news release Tuesday. "These are dedicated members of the community who leave their jobs and families to respond to emergencies such as wildfires and other all-risk incidents when paged."

As of Tuesday, 95 people were assigned to the fire. Resources include four engines, three helicopters, four hand crews, a water tender and other miscellaneous overhead.

The human-caused fire remains under investigation. Officials have previously said the blaze resulted from someone using exploding firearms targets.
