Chuck Gray On Wyoming Congressional Run: ”I Get Things Done”
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray says one thing that sets him apart in his bid for a seat in the U.S. House is that "I get things done."
Gray is one of several candidates running for the U.S. House seat being vacated by Harriet Hageman, who is running for what will be an open U.S. Senate seat. Other candidates so far include Wyoming Senate President Bo Biteman, former Wyoming State Superintendent Jillian Balow, Casper businessman Reid Rasner, military veteran David Giralt and former state legislator John Romero Martinez.

Gray is a former state legislator from Natrona County who has also worked for many years as a Casper radio broadcaster. He was elected Wyoming Secretary of State in 2022.
He was a guest on the ''Weekend in Wyoming" program on a.m. 650, KGAB on Saturday. You can hear that interview in the audio file attached to this article.
Gray says what sets him apart in that field is "I have the track record of doing the will of the people of Wyoming. I've gotten so many things done over the years. Voter ID, proof of citizenship when registering to vote, which is now the centerpiece of the SAVE America act. We were talking about these issues in 2017, 2018.''
He says when he was Secretary of State Wyoming became the first state to require proof of citizenship required for voting in all races.
Gray says if he is elected to congress, one of his goals would be to get some of the election laws that have been passed in Wyoming passed at the federal level. He also says his experience in the Wyoming Legislature is good training for congress because in because as a state lawmaker you have to "learn about everything, the full gamut" a skill that he says would help him at the federal level.
Gray says one priority would be defending Wyoming industries in congress. Gray says in Wyoming he is used to battling Governor Mark Gordon who he says is "very, very, very liberal."
Gray: "We All Know What Reid Rasner Is Up To"
Rasner on the March 14th ''Weekend In Wyoming'' broadcast accused Gray of repeatedly supporting Wyoming wind projects, an allegation that Gray fervently denies.
In fact, Gray says the truth is just the opposite. ''We stopped woke wind in Wyoming because woke wind is wrong for Wyoming," said Gray.
''But we all know what Reid Rasner is up to, he's spending his mom's money, trying to do these stunts, trying to get elected....the TikTok bid that wasn't there, that didn't go anywhere. The way he's spending his mom's money on these videos, these false claims. Where was he in any of these state meetings?"
