Keith Goodenough Running As A Republican

Goodenough is a former Democratic state legislator who served in the Wyoming House from 1989 to 1993 and the Senate from 1996 to 2005. He also ran as a Democrat for Governor in 1986 and 1998, losing the Democratic Primary Election both times.

Goodenough likewise ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 2008, narrowly losing the Democratic Primary that year to Casper attorney Nick Carter. Carter in turn was trounced by Republican John Barrasso in the general election that year.

The Secretary of State's Office has him listed as a Republican candidate for the U.S. House this time around

Another former state officeholder is Jillian Balow. She was elected as Wyoming's Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2014 and was reelected in 2018.

She resigned in 2022 to take a job as Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction. The Superintendent position in Virginia is an appointed one, and Balow was chosen by then-Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for the job.
