Last week we asked about the biggest issues facing Cheyenne and Laramie. You can see the poll results for Cheyenne here and for Laramie here

Those polls got a string response, with over 1,100 answers between the two polls  So this week, we thought we would take the question statewide, and ask ''What is the biggest issue facing Wyoming in 2026?"

Some Wyoming Issues Are National Problems

Some of the issues facing Wyoming are similar to the rest of the country.

For example, the cost of living is a concern just about everywhere these days. In our two polls last week it was one of the most cited issues, coming in as the top issue in Laramie and second most in Cheyenne.

Or how about high gas prices?  Some people might argue this one is not all bad in a  state where the energy industry is a major employer. Then again, this is also a state where people often drive long distances to work, not to mention for things like shopping and health care. Is is it a net negative for Wyoming or not?

How about the potential for a drought? It's been a dry winter so far across Wyoming. Cheyenne based meteorologist Don Day Jr. told Townsquare Media of Cheyenne Monday that if things don't turn around in April and May "we will be in a bad place."

We are hearing a fair amount about wind energy this political campaign. Secretary of State Chuck Gray has been decrying '' woke wind projects" in his race for congress. But one of his rivals, Reid Rasner, is accusing him of being a hypocrite who has supported wind energy in the past.

So is wind energy a big problem?

Or depending on your political views, maybe you think either the Wyoming Freedom Caucus or RINOS--Republicans In Name Only--are holding this state back.

Or maybe you think the biggest problem is something else entirely? Write in your own choice!
