Utah Man Facing 10-100 Years in Cheyenne Prostitution Bust
A 35-year-old Utah man could face 10 to 100 years in prison after allegedly transporting two women from Salt Lake City to Cheyenne to engage in prostitution.
Cheyenne police arrested Terry Blanks on Friday, June 29 after an undercover detective responding to an online ad for prostitution made contact with two women inside the Candlewood Suites.
The women told police they traveled with Blanks to Cheyenne, and one said Blanks was her "boyfriend" and "bodyguard."
According to an affidavit, Blanks admitted to being involved in the commercial sex industry, but denied any involvement and stated he was merely traveling with the women.
Blanks has been charged with two counts of first-degree human trafficking. He is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $5,000 cash bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 10.
