Much Of Southeast Wyoming Under Red Flag Fire Warning
The current warm, dry weather in southeast Wyoming has prompted the National Weather Service in Cheyenne to issue a Red Flag Fire warning.
In the latest report, the warning area included Laramie but not Cheyenne. However, the warning could be extended to cover Cheyenne and other areas at any time.
The agency also says, "Warnings have been expanded a bit more south and eastwards, and while most of Laramie County is not included, elevated to near critical conditions are expected for Cheyenne as well."
The agency posted the following on its website:

"A Red Flag Warning is in effect through 8 PM on Thursday for low relative humidity and gusty winds. Warnings have been expanded a bit more south and eastwards, and while most of Laramie County is not included, elevated to near critical conditions are expected for Cheyenne as well."
