Hot and dry condtions will be present on Wednesday. An approaching cold front will make the winds begin to pick up quickly, and by the afternoon we will see wind gusts of 35-45mph, with the strongest wind gusts in southeast WY. Critical to extrmely critical fire weather conditions are expected due to low humidity, gusty winds, and dry weather. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Wednesday, August 28th from 10am-8pm MDT for many areas of our forecast region. Don't let the recent rainfall deceive you the past week or so as several locations are experiencing abnormallly dry to severe drought conditions. Go to weather.gov/cys for your local forecast.
