Police Investigating Cheyenne Travel Agency for Alleged Fraud
Cheyenne police are investigating Top Travel after receiving multiple complaints from customers alleging the travel agency defrauded them.
"Several customers of the business have reported to the Cheyenne Police Department that they paid for trips through the company only to find that their trips had been cancelled without their knowledge and without having their money returned," Officer Kevin Malatesta said in a news release.
Malatesta says Top Travel operated in Frontier Mall from August 2018 to December 2018 and has also conducted business under the name of "The Outdoor Pursuit."
Police are encouraging anyone who's recently done business with Top Travel to check on their travel reservations directly by contacting the hotels and airlines they're booked at to make sure their reservations are still in place.
"If you believe you're a victim of this fraud, contact the Cheyenne Police Department at (307) 637-6525 to initiate a report," said Malatesta.
