Cheyenne Frontier Days are back and better than ever. The 10-day event is well underway and today signaled the second of 4 grand parades in honor of the rodeo.

The parade itself is really fun to watch. Especially from the birds-ey view that I have in the studio. You get to see tons of horses march their way through the streets like both their and our ancestors once did.

As the parade ends, there's another parade that goes through the streets. The parade of the Unsung Heroes of Cheyenne Frontier Days, the street sweepers. They come down the street in a beautifully synchronized formation and scrub the heck out of the street. Make sure there is no danger of someone comically slipping in the waste and sliding down to Colorado.

Just look at those beauties. These are really nice street sweepers. I'm sure when they purchased these bad boys, they put horse poop scrubbing into the decision. So, we're looking at top-of-the-line scrubbers here.

I'm sure driving these is a lot of fun during the parade, and I'd bet people jump at the opportunity to be on display for residents and tourists alike. If it weren't for the brave men or women that drive these guys, we'd be left to using a guy with a John Deere and a shovel. So, with two more parades to come, make sure you give a nice, hearty wave at these great men and women who keep our streets clean.

LOOK: Cheyenne Frontier Days 2021 Grand Parades March Through Cheyenne

Four Cheyenne Frontier Days Grand Parades again marched through downtown Cheyenne in 2021, to the delight of thousands of onlookers.

At the parades (July 27, 29, 31), there was an endless array of marching bands, floats, riders on horseback, horse-drawn wagons, and other exhibits too numerous to mention.

The parades alternate with the Frontier Days Pancake Breakfasts which happened on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings of CFD week (July 26, 28, 30) at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.
