No one was injured when a two-story building in downtown Cheyenne caught fire late Tuesday afternoon.

City of Cheyenne spokesman Scott Smith says firefighters were called to the 1700 block of O'Neil Avenue at 3:45 p.m. and had the fire out in 15 minutes.

"They noticed light smoke coming from (the) building," Smith said in a press release. "Two occupants in the building were able to exit the building safely."

Damage to the property was estimated at $5,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
