
Power Reportedly Restored After Cheyenne Outage
Black Hills Energy says it has restored power to downtown Cheyenne after an outage on Tuesday afternoon.
Company spokesperson Laurie Farkas gave Townsquare Media of Cheyenne the following statement: Black Hills Energy experienced a brief electrical power interruption in Cheyenne, Wyoming this afternoon due to a third-party line strike. Power has been fully restored to the affected areas of Morrie Avenue to Snyder Avenue and 17th Street north to 25th Street. Our crews remain on scene and working to repair damaged equipment.
Farkas says the outage started around 12:50 pm and power was restored at 1:56 p.m.

On April 6 and 7, 2024, wild winds exceeding 90 mph blew through SE Wyoming, causing havoc in Cheyenne and on the interstate. Everything from fences to semis were upturned in the wind storm. Check out the damage shared by residents below.
