Final CFD 2024 Pancake Breakfast Draws Thousands
Slightly more people were served free Cheyenne Frontier Days Pancake Breakfasts this year compared to 2023 numbers, according to event organizers
Friday was the third and final such breakfast for 2024.
Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne Pancake Chairman Justin Gorman told Townsquare Media of Cheyenne that 6,159 such breakfasts were served on Friday morning. That brings the final tally for all three such 2024 breakfasts to 18,882.
That compares with a final number for 2023 of 18,598.
The Record Was Set In 1996
The single-day record was registered during the Wednesday 1996 feeding frenzy, where 16,897 people were served. The weekly record was broken that same year when 39,111 people were fed in a combined serving time of eight hours and ten minutes.
1996 was the 100th edition of Cheyenne Frontier Days and drew huge crowds across the board
The breakfasts are a CFD tradition dating back to 1952. They are presented by the Kiwanis Club Of Cheyenne, in part to practice feeding large numbers of people in the event of an emergency.
