The Laramie County Combined Communications Center says it handled 5,154 calls for service during Cheyenne Frontier Days 2024.

That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

Those calls include calls for service for firefighters, EMS, and Police. Law enforcement calls for service comprised the big majority of those calls, 4,687.

Calls This Year Were The Highest Number In Four Years

This year's number of calls was the most in four years, eclipsing the 2022 total of 4,915.  The post says center staffers worked 12-hour shifts in groups of five to handle the increased demand. The post says center staffers ''pick up a lot of overtime and work their tails off to ensure a safe experience for our town and visitors'' during CFD.
