Police contacted a male, later identified as 41-year-old Marshall Leroy Robin, who reportedly falsely identified himself as Matthew Keys.

Police say Robin told them that he had been beaten up by his girlfriend's friend.

Police interviewed Robin's girlfriend and her friend, who they say later arrived on the scene, and developed probable cause to arrest Robin for strangulation of a household member and domestic battery.

Police Say Robin Also Had 2 Warrants Out of Laramie County

When police ran Robin's name, they discovered he had two misdemeanor warrants out of Laramie County Circuit Court.

One was for failure to comply and was signed by Judge Thomas Lee on Oct. 26, 2023. The other was for failure to appear on original charges of possession of a controlled substance, DUI, and property destruction, and was signed by Lee on Jan. 10, 2024.

Robin was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on his warrants as well as charges of felony strangulation of a household member - minor injury, misdemeanor domestic battery, and misdemeanor interference with a peace officer - no injury.

As of the time of his booking, police say Robin was still refusing to confirm his identity.

Due to his uncooperativeness, Robin has yet to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court.
