A 52-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged with having the necessary equipment to run a methamphetamine lab.

According to a booking sheet, a police officer was patrolling the area of Tusker Bar at 3310 Ridge Rd. at 3:11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, when he saw Aaron Robert Gilfillan, whom he believed had a felony warrant for his arrest, exit the establishment and get into a car.

Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and Gilfillan exited the car and was placed in handcuffs.

Police say dispatch confirmed Gilfillan had a felony warrant out of Laramie County for three counts of possession of laboratory equipment or supplies with the intent to engage in a clandestine lab operation.

Circuit Court Judge Thomas Lee signed the warrant on May 21, 2024.

Gilfillan was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on his warrant and seen in Circuit Court the following afternoon, May 30.

His bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 6 at 2 p.m.
