Driving Without Headlights Leads to Wanted Cheyenne Man’s Arrest
A wanted Cheyenne man is behind bars following a Sunday night traffic stop in south central Cheyenne.
According to a booking sheet, 27-year-old David Thomas Turnbow Jr. was pulled over at East 6th Street and Warren Avenue around 11 p.m. after a police officer observed him driving without headlights.
Cheyenne Man Wanted for Probation Violation Busted for Drunk Driving
The officer says Turnbow had slurred speech and glossy red eyes.
After reportedly agreeing to perform standardized field sobriety tests and performing poorly, Turnbow was arrested for DUI.
When the officer ran Turnbow's name, he discovered Turnbow had a Laramie County District Court warrant for probation violation.
The warrant was signed by Judge Catherine Rogers on April 5, 2023. The original charges were for strangulation of a household member, domestic battery - first offense, and false imprisonment.
Turnbow was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center without incident.
As of Monday afternoon, his probation revocation hearing had yet to be scheduled.
