Cheyenne Man Accused of Beating Newly Wedded Wife Unconscious
A 49-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a fistful of charges after allegedly beating his newly wedded wife unconscious twice in a row.
Police Called to Report of Domestic Violence
According to a booking sheet, it all started around 12:03 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, after police were called to a residence for a report of domestic violence.

'He Just Kept Beating Me'
Police say the reporting person, a neighbor, heard a male and female, Robert Junior Horsley and his wife, yelling, "Help me, help me," and Horsley's wife came to their door and said, "He just kept beating me."
Police say Horsley's wife had a knot on her left temple and a large bruise on the back of her left arm, and Horsley admitted to using a hammer fist to her temple.
Police say the two have been married since March 7, 2025, and dating for the past two years.
Horsley Arrested
Horsley was subsequently arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident, where he reportedly became uncooperative with jail staff and went directly to a cell.
More Information Comes to Light
Then at 5:06 p.m., police were called to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center about supplemental information regarding the case.
Police say Horsley's wife, who didn't provide a complete statement to officers at the scene, said Horsley forcibly prevented her from escaping the residence.
She said Horsley threw her phone against the ground when she tried to dial 911, causing her to believe the phone was destroyed, and held her by her neck using his forearm, which caused her to be unable to speak and have difficulty breathing.
Horsley then reportedly forced her to the ground, where she lay in the fetal position as he punched her in the side of the head, causing her to lose consciousness.
She said when she woke up, Horsley immediately started hitting her in the head again until she became unconscious a second time.
She said when she woke up the second time, Horsley wasn't near her, so she escaped the residence and went to a neighbor's apartment for help.
Horsley Hit With Felony Charge, 4 Misdemeanors
Horsley was subsequently charged with strangulation of a household member, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
He was also charged with four misdemeanors, including false imprisonment, interference with an emergency call, and two counts of domestic battery.
Bond Set at $10K Cash or Surety
Horsley made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, March 26, during which his bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, at 4 p.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
