Cheyenne Man Charged After Shots Fired at Bar
A 38-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge following a weekend bar fight in which he allegedly fired two shots.
According to a booking sheet, police were dispatched to The Redwood Saloon at 2501 E. Lincolnway at 12:18 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 for a report of a male shooting a gun.
Police contacted Anthony Stephen Gibbons, who matched the description of the shooter.
Gibbons was reportedly handcuffed and Mirandized, to which he advised he would like his lawyer.
Police say people at the Redwood told them there was a fight and a male was knocked out.
They said Gibbons had a gun and fired two rounds into the air. He then reportedly pointed the gun at the manager then ran away.
Cheyenne Man Charged With Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangering
Gibbons was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and reckless endangering - firearm, a misdemeanor.
He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday morning, June 24, during which his bond was set at $10,000 at 10% and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 29 at 10:30 a.m.
