A 22-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly physically injuring a minor whose welfare she was responsible for.

According to a booking sheet, police arrested Mikaela E. Ziemer at her home in the 2400 block of Pattinson Avenue at 11:33 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28.

Ziemer was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with child abuse, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Bond Set at $7.5K Cash

Ziemer made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Oct. 30, during which her bond was set at $7,500 cash and her preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8 at 9:45 a.m.
