Cheyenne Teen Charged in Recent Liquor Store Burglaries
A Cheyenne teen is facing four felony charges after reportedly burglarizing two Cheyenne liquor stores.
According to police, 18-year-old Leviathan James-Scott Stillwell was arrested at 2222 E. 19th St. around 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, after police received an anonymous tip regarding the burglaries.
Police say Stillwell admitted to burglarizing DT's Liquors at 2121 E. Lincolnway once and Midtown Tavern at 1303 E. Pershing Blvd. three different times.
The incidents are said to have occurred between Feb. 9 and Feb. 21.
Police say Stillwell told them he threw bricks and rocks through the windows to gain access and stole bottles of alcohol.
Cheyenne Teen Charged With 4 Counts of Burglary
Stillwell was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with four counts of burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
He's scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon, Feb. 23, at 1:30 p.m.
UPDATE:
Stillwell made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court Friday afternoon, during which his bond was set at $2,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Friday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m.
