$10K Bond Set for Cheyenne Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
A $10,000 cash bond has been set for a 36-year-old Cheyenne man charged with three counts of aggravated assault and battery.
According to a booking sheet, Joshua Eugene Baca was taken into custody on a warrant at 11:05 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, after police contacted him at the Laramie County WIC Office at 421 E. 17th St.
Police say Baca had a felony warrant out of Laramie County for three counts of aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Circuit Court Judge Sean Chambers signed the warrant on May 13, 2024.
Baca was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on his warrant and seen in Circuit Court the following afternoon, May 24.
His bond was set at $10,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 31 at 9 a.m.
